This is a private reference site, not a Wilson County or Kansas government office. We cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the office that created the record.
Official Offices and Record Routes
Use the contact that matches the custody system or document. A county booking belongs with the Sheriff, a court order belongs with the clerk, and a KDOC sentence or discharge record belongs with Kansas corrections.
Wilson County Sheriff and Jail
925 Pierce Street
Fredonia, KS 66736
Phone: 620-378-3622
Fax: 620-378-4510
Email: petekuhn@wilsoncountykansas.org
The official county page does not publish records-unit hours, a KORA form, jail-record fees, or a booking-photo fee. Ask when the designated records custodian is available and request an itemized cost estimate before work begins. Confirm whether Sheriff Pete Kuhn is the current custodian before sending sensitive identifiers. See the official Sheriff contact page.
Wilson County District Court
31st Judicial District
615 Madison Street
Fredonia, KS 66736
Published hours: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Verify holiday closures and the clerk's current telephone through the official Wilson County District Court page. Use the court for case documents, bond orders, disposition, and sentence records, not for the jail's physical release log.
Kansas Department of Corrections
Use the KDOC Kansas Open Records Act route for formal state-corrections records. KASPER directs accuracy comments to kdoc_pub@ks.gov. The KDOC Enforcement, Apprehensions and Investigations Unit lists 785-414-7755, but those contacts do not replace the Wilson County Sheriff for a county booking or jail release.
Choose the path that fits the request:
- For a released person or county release record, begin with the Wilson County search and records path.
- For supervision after release, use Post-Release Supervision.
- For recent jail movements, use 24-Hour Releases.
- For a projected date or alert, use Release Date Lookup or the VINE Inmate Check.
- For the local detention facility, use the Wilson County Jail page listed in the footer.
- For a sentenced state prisoner, use KDOC's official KASPER search and records process.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the official BOP or ICE locator.
