Triangulate the jail timestamp, court order, and any VINE event when possible. For a KDOC transfer, preserve both the county departure and the later KDOC status. Calling that movement a release without noting transfer would be misleading.

Read status before date. Inmate means state custody continues. Parole means prison release under supervision. Discharged is the clearest public status that KDOC control ended. Preserve any live date label instead of renaming every milestone “projected release date.”
